First something about me:
First you should know something: I am not related to the IT – economy in any way. I am only interested in computers. I am a fan of ptp and especially eDonkey2000. I am not intending to harm ptp, eDonkey, Flock or Swamp. This is just my personal opinion.
The problem:
When using Flock / eDonkey2000 you get a (unique ?) ID.
In eDonkey2000 this ID was calculated from your IP-Address and therefore changed every time you used eDonkey2000 (unless you don´t have a static IP).
This has changed in Flock. Flock calculates your ID once and saves it in the pref.met-file. Therefore it won´t change.
The Flock-ID looks like that:

If you delete pref.met Flock will calculate a new ID. The bad thing is, all your preferences (Name, etc.) are saved in this file as well and will be lost.
The problem I see with an ID that is not changing is that anyone could create a profile of a certain Flock-user very easily using only Flock and a few other tools. By keeping your contact-list you can get information like:
The domain the user is in, because the ip is shown in the contact-list as well. You can do easily a DNS – reverse – lookup. This is more difficult with eDonkey2000, because you need monitoring-tools (yet it is not impossible !!!). In eDonkey2000 you see only the ID of other users, not the IP.
The different ip´s a User gets over the time.
How long he is using flock at a time and how often (by using e.g. ping etc. every now and then to check if the user is still online).
The files he is sharing (if the there will be a browse-user-function in the future like eDonkey2000 has).
The conclusion is that there is a lack of anonymity when using Flock.
Update:
As Unknown1 mentioned on the Forum “ it's just as easy to do it in edonkey”. Well nearly. You need additional tools for monitoring your traffic. But he´s right, I was panicking. You have problems like that with every ptp.
But he´s wrong if he thinks that Flock does not show the files. If you type “dir” in the status-window you get a huge list of them (not every time, seems like you have to be online some time).
The list contains files and sources. Each record starts with the DescID and ends with the ServiceID.

successeur d edonkey = flock et pas varvar

, donc il suffit d'aller titiller un ou deux fichiers populaires pour aller joyeusement se taper du 20ko/s au bout de trois minutes. Pour la constance et les fichiers peu répandus, je ne sait pas, j'ai d'abord quelques d/l à terminer sous edonkey.
, dont j'espère vivement qu'il ne pose pas de problèmes de fond.
Pas complètement en tout cas, eDonkey n'est pas mort pour moi
